Skanska builds replacement schools in Cincinnati, USA, for USD 65M, about SEK 560M

Skanska has, in a joint venture with Megen Construction, signed a contract with the Winton Woods City School District and the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission to manage a multi-building construction project in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. The total contract is worth USD 93M. Skanska will include its 70 percent share of the contract worth USD 65M, about  SEK 560M, in the US order bookings for the fourth quarter 2017.

The project includes two new replacement schools: a 19,000-square-meter, elementary school, and a 22,000-square-meter middle and high school. Both projects will seek a minimum of LEED Silver certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). 

Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2019 and is slated for completion in January 2021.
