Skanska constructs football stadium in Prairie View, USA, for USD 53 M, about SEK 360 M

Skanska has signed a contract with The Texas A&M University System in College Station to construct a new football stadium and athletic field house for Praire View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas, USA. The contract is worth USD 53 M, about SEK 360 M, which will be included in order bookings for Skanska USA Building for the fourth quarter of 2014.

The new Panther Stadium at Prairie View A&M University will include 15,000 seats, coaches’ booths, ten sky box suites and a radio and television broadcast booth. The existing stadium will be demolished to make way for the new stadium.

The 5,000-square-meter athletic field house is designed for the world-class student athlete. 

Construction will begin December 2014 with an expected completion of May 2016.
