Skanska reconstructs parts of the Urban Escape district in Stockholm, Sweden, for about SEK 600 M

Skanska has signed a contract with AMF Fastigheter AB to refurbish and extend a property in the center of Stockholm, Sweden. The contract is worth about SEK 600 M, which will be included in order bookings for Skanska Sweden for the first quarter of 2015.

Skanska will refurbish and renovate an area of 27,000 square meters in nine floors to modern flexible office space standard. In addition, an extension corresponding three stories and a total of 7,000 square meters of gross area will be constructed.

The project is part of AMF Real Estate AB's development Urban Escape Stockholm, and includes an entire block of five buildings with an area of 130,000 square meters in the center of Stockholm.

The office building will meet high sustainability standards and will be certified LEED Gold.

Construction will start immediately and the office building will be completed in summer 2017.
