Skanska has signed a contract with Slussgården to sell Snäckan 8 in Stockholm, Sweden. The deal includes a lease agreement with SKL, who plans to move its headquarters to the property. The agreement includes a new property of about 23,500 square meters. Skanska will announce the final purchase price, and thus the construction contract, when the zoning is established. The transaction is conditioned by zoning and building permits.

The divestment will be recorded in connection with the start of construction, which is expected to occur during the first quarter of 2018. The transfer of the property to the buyer will take place when the building is completed, which is expected in the third quarter in 2020.

The property is centrally located, at Tegelbacken, in Stockholm and has a very good communication location right next to the Central Station. The project is defined in the current zoning process and is expected to receive the highest environmental classification, Platinum, according to LEED.

Skanska Commercial Development Nordic initiates and develops property projects in offices, logistics, business premises and rental apartments. The company’s operations are concentrated in the three metropolitan regions in Sweden, the Copenhagen region in Denmark, the Oslo region in Norway, as well as Helsinki in Finland. The development of logistic properties are conducted in strategic locations in Sweden and rental apartments in Copenhagen.
