As modern cuisine leans towards lighter eating, and Scandinavian food fast becoming one of the hottest culinary trends¹ the award-winning crispbreads by the artisan Swedish bakery, Peter’s Yard have launched into the food service sector at an ideal time for restaurants and high quality dining establishments.

The Peter’s Yard crispbread range is made to a traditional Swedish recipe that uses just five all-natural ingredients which include organic wholewheat flours, fresh milk, honey and a naturally fermenting sourdough. No two crispbread are alike. Made in the UK by artisan bakers, they’re different to the mainstream – unique and full of character just like the people who create them and those who enjoy eating them. There are direct health benefits too; high in fibre, no hydrogenated fats, low in salt, completely natural, free from anything artificial and low in calories.

Peter’s Yard crispbread have many uses and are available in an assortment of sizes for various eating occasions: bite-size mini crispbreads are ideal for canapés or to serve with cheese, medium-size crispbreads are the perfect host for cheese or to serve with pâté or gravadlax for an authentic Scandinavian starter. Completing the range is the traditionally shaped crispbread with a central hole which provides an attractive centre piece to a sharing plate of cheese or charcuterie.

Since launching just a few years ago, Peter’s Yard crispbread has already gained many fans in the restaurant world. Valentine Warner has said “Peter’s Yard sourdough crispbreads are one of my favourite foods. I love them with gravadlax”. Phil Fanning, Chef at Michelin starred restaurant Paris House said “I can say from the bottom of my heart as a true cheese lover there is no better vehicle for eating cheese that Peter’s Yard rye crispbreads. It’s as simple as that!” whilst Will Holland states “Serve Peter’s Yard crispbreads with cheese – it’s the law!” And, food writer Signe Johansen describes Peter’s Yard crispbreads as “the best crispbreads on the planet”.

Martin Wishart is just one of many Michelin starred restaurants who chooses to serve the crispbreads with cheese at his acclaimed restaurant.

Peter’s Yard has enviable credentials: named ‘number one’ crispbread in the UK by The Times in a review of taste and nutrition as well as receiving 2 stars in the Great Taste Awards in the biscuits for cheese and artisan bread categories.
