SSAB reaches settlement for break down in Oxelösund
SSAB has reached a final settlement of around SEK 315 million with the insurance company and the supplier in compensation for the break down that occurred in Oxelösund in December 2016. The settlement will have a positive impact of around SEK 265 million on the result for the fourth quarter of 2017.
As earlier reported, an advance payment of SEK 50 million was received from the insurance company during the second quarter of 2017. The additional amount of SEK 265 million will be booked in SSAB Special Steels’ result in the fourth quarter of 2017. This means that the total compensation by the insurance company and the supplier amounts to around SEK 315 million.
