Starbreeze showcases StarVR experiences, OVERKILL's The Walking Dead and PAYDAY 2 at E3, June 16 - 18
In collaboration with Skybound and 505 Games, E3 visitors will be able to experience the StarVR-powered OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead demo version of the game.
In the OVERKILL's The Walking Dead booth #F5B, E3 visitors will be able to experience the StarVR powered demo version of the game.
At the PAYDAY 2 booth, #F5A OVERKILL and 505 Games will showcase the PAYDAY 2: Crimewave Edition as well as the upcoming DLC The Golden Grin Casino Heist to be released June 25. Celebrating The PAYDAY 2: Crimewave Edition release on the North American market on June 16, visitors will be able to take part in activities at the booth throughout the convention. The 12 demo stations will feature a first hand preview of the upcoming Golden Grin Casino Heist DLC.

On June 13, Starbreeze announced the start of the StarVR project, with the acquisition of InfinitEye, a French developer of VR hardware. InfinitEye, henceforth known as Starbreeze Paris, is developing a head-mounted display (HMD) with the widest field-of-view – 210 degrees – in the world. The StarVR headset is currently in a prototyping and development phase. Through the acquisition, Starbreeze becomes one of the first technology companies to publish and develop both the software and hardware components of VR, allowing for a holistic approach covering all the dimensions involved.
