This year, Stockholm International Film Festival celebrates its 25th anniversary. The festival takes place Nov 5-16 and journalists are welcome to attend the festival by applying for press accreditation online.

Your accreditation gives you access to press screenings, press material and is also needed to make interview requests. Your press pass gives you access to movies during day time, Monday to Friday before 5 pm, and possibility to join work in progress seminars. You collect your press pass at the press center located at Berns Hotel from Nov 5th.

Stockholm International Film Festival is growing, we are now showing over 180 movies from more than 50 countries. This years opening film is Gentlemen directed by Mikael Marcimain and based on Klas Östergren’s novel. Other films being screened are Xavier Dolan’s Mommy, which was awarded the Jury prize in Cannes; Camp X-ray starring Kristen Stewart and Peyman Moaadi and Catch Me Daddy – a relationship drama from music video director Daniel Wolfe. The complete program will be presented at the press conference October 14 to which accredited press will be invited.

As previous years, we look forward to welcoming directors and talents, both debutants and veterans, to the festival. Amongst others, the Stockholm Lifetime Achievement awarded director Mike Leigh will attend to receive his prize and give an exclusive Face2Face interview in connection with the premiere screening of his latest film, Mr. Turner.

The 25th Stockholm International Film Festival November 5-16 2014.

The Stockholm International Film Festival started in 1990 and is today one of the leading competitive film festivals in Europe. The festival takes place every year in November with more than 190 films from more than 50 countries. More than a festival: we organize exclusive screenings and the popular Summer Cinema – an outdoor mini-festival. Every year in spring the Stockholm International Film Festival Junior brings the latest films to youngsters between 6 and 16 years of age.

WE LOVE FILM!
