The Stockmann Group's sales in October were down by 7.2 per cent and amounted to EUR 125.1 million in continuing product areas and businesses.

Stockmann Retail's sales in continuing product areas and businesses were down by 7.7 per cent. Sales were down by 9.2 per cent in Finland, but up 0.8 per cent in the Baltic countries. The Tallinn department store achieved the best sales development of all the stores in October.

Lindex's sales were down by 6.0 per cent at comparable exchange rates. Sales grew in Baltic countries and Central Europe, but declined in other markets. Euro-denominated sales were down by 6.6 per cent.

*Continuing product areas and businesses i.e. excluding Russian retail operations, Seppälä, Hobby Hall, Stockmann Beauty, the airport store and the product areas the company has withdrawn from in department stores (electronics, books, sports equipment, toys and pet supplies).

Stockmann’s total sales in October 2016 were EUR 131.8 million, including Hobby Hall. In October 2015, sales were EUR 170.2 million, including also Russian retail operations and discontinued product areas in department stores.

Change-%: change compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. The Group's sales figures include merchandise sales exclusive VAT in stores and department stores. The figures do not include other operating income such as rental income or service fees.
