Olof Sandstedt new Head of Financial Stability Department

The Executive Board of the Riksbank has appointed Olof Sandstedt, who is currently acting head, to be Head of the Financial Stability Department. He will take up the position on 14 November 2017.

“Olof Sandstedt has a sound knowledge of the financial stability field, particularly questions concerning bank analysis and financial markets. We all look forward to continuing to work with him,” says Governor Stefan Ingves.  

Olof Sandstedt has held the position of Deputy Head of the Financial Stability Department since 2015 and prior to that was Head of the Banking Analysis Division. He has been at the Riksbank since 2007 and prior to that worked at JP Morgan. Olof Sandstedt has an MSc in Business Administration from the University of Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law.
