Lars Idermark, who has been proposed as Chair of the Board of Directors in Swedbank by the Nomination Committee, has informed the main owners in Aleris that he wishes to resign as Chair of the Board of Directors of Aleris with immediate effect.

The Nomination Committee of Swedbank and the Board of Directors in Swedbank as well as the Board of Directors in Södra have also been informed of the decision.

“By resigning as Chair of the Board of Directors of Aleris, I am taking the consequences from the additional workload that will arise from the chairmanship in Swedbank. This will make it possible for me to act as CEO of Södra and Chair of Swedbank in full”, says Lars Idermark.
