Anna Breman, Group Chief Economist, has been appointed new Global Head of Macro Research. Peter Ström, previously Deputy Head of Client Coverage, has been appointed new Head of Client Coverage. Olof Manner has been appointed to the new role as Senior Advisor. All three will be part of the Large Corporate and Institutions (LC&I) Management team.

Swedbank is one of the market’s foremost providers of financial services to large corporates and institutions in the Nordics and Baltics. Peter Ström, currently Deputy Head of Client Coverage, and Olof Manner, currently Head of Research, have played key roles in the success of LC&I. With Peter’s in-depth knowledge of the industry sectors that Swedbank serves, and Olof’s extensive and longstanding network of contacts in the Nordic and Baltic corporate sphere, LC&I has a strong foundation for continued growth. Anna Breman, with her years of experience in macroeconomic analysis and forecasting, will take Swedbank’s research offering forward, providing objective, integrated analysis that enables clients to make well-informed decisions in a rapidly changing market. Anna will also continue as Group Chief Economist in addition to her new role.

“With these key appointments, we are ready to take LC&I’s business to the next level. We have a fantastic organisation of more than 1 250 employees, serving our clients in the Nordic-Baltic region. LC&I have set ambitious targets for the years to come, and we have already achieved several positive results and important milestones. Our clients have ranked us number 1 in the Prospera survey for Trade Finance in Sweden, and recently we were ranked number 1 in the Prospera survey for Real Estate in Sweden for the second year in a row. We are a market leader in DCM and we’re moving ahead with our sustainability work; which led to a top ranking from Bloomberg for green bonds earlier this year. With this strong line-up that we now have in place, LC&I have a very good starting point to level up our prioritized focus and continue to work to build long-term client relationships and increase client satisfaction,” says Ola Laurin, Head of Large Corporates and Institutions.

The changes will be effective at the latest 1 February, 2019.
