Talkpool wins five years O&M contact in Haiti
After more than eleven years of co-operation Digicel Haiti has renewed its confidence in Talkpool by signing a five years contract for Operation & Maintenance of its mobile telephony network in Haiti.
Talkpool has been Digicel’s largest provider of mobile network services in Haiti since 2006. After starting with 100 GSM sites in 2006, Digicel has constantly expanded and upgraded the network on its most important market to the nationwide, state of the art 4G network of today. Talkpool’s role has been to support Digicel in expanding and upgrading the system step by step and to make sure that the mobile network is always up and running and available for all subscribers.
Not only has Digicel Haiti extended the previous three years assignment term to five years this time, but the scope of work for TalkPool has been extended from 950 mobile sites to 1450, which encompasses Digicel´s complete network in Haiti, when Talkpool now takes over the 500 sites in the north of Haiti from its main competitor. Talkpool won the contact in competition with four major regional service providers. The Execution Contract is a sub-contact to the ten years Global Frame agreement for the supply of Operation & Maintenance services to all Digicel´s 30 markets worldwide that was announced earlier this week.

The five years Execution Agreement is effective retroactively from 1 June 2017 and has an estimated value of 35 MUSD or 7 MUSD per year.
