Tele2 and Talkpool transfer Gothenburg LoRa IoT network to Nordic IoT Networks
In 2017, Tele2 and Talkpool built a LoRa IoT network in Gothenburg, Sweden. Now, the parties haveagreed to transfer the network to the Nordic IoT Networks’ LoRa network.
Nordic IoT Networks was started by Talkpool together with a group of investors with the aim of building a LoRa network with nationwide coverage in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The company is currently rolling out a LoRa network in the Swedish cities Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Lund and Uppsala. The addition of the Tele2/Talkpool Gothenburg network is a great boost to the total IoT infrastructure that Nordic IoT Networks manages, and it fits well with the company’s new Shared Network Operators (SNO) strategy. In this strategy Nordic IoT Networks wishes to open the dialogue with any parties that currently have built up small LoRa networks throughout the Nordic countries, to discuss consolidation into the nationwide network.

The Gothenburg LoRa network will soon be fully integrated into Nordic IoT Network’s LoRa network.
