Teleste brings forward its rail-proven Mitron Displays with on-board and video security solutions at Trako 2017
Turku, Finland – 21 September 2017 – Teleste Corporation will be present at Trako 2017 to show the company’s rail-proven display solutions as well as comprehensive on-board and video security systems for rail operators and rolling stock manufacturers. Trako 2017 will take place 26 – 29 September in Gdansk, Poland, and you can find Teleste at stand 42 in Hall F. We look forward to meeting you at the show to discuss how our solutions and products can help you exceed passengers’ expectations of smooth and enjoyable travelling.
Mitron Displays – excellent visibility and ultra-high durability for indoor and outdoor use
Our Mitron displays show the way for tomorrow’s passenger information and advertising applications. The display family offers e.g. TFT LCD, monochrome LED and RGB LED display solutions for on-board and stations.
Mitron displays are designed to meet the high standards of the rail industry, and they have strong resistance to external impacts such as vandalism, high and low temperatures, and extreme weather conditions. The rugged design allows the displays to be safely placed in public places where it is essentially important to be able to trust the continuous availability of the equipment.
Our displays are an excellent choice for conditions in which sunshine and reflections affect readability. They provide automated brightness control as a standard feature, which, combined with an anti-reflective front glass, ensures maximum contrast and excellent delivery of information in all lighting conditions.
As one of our Trako 2017 highlights, we will present the latest newcomers in the Mitron family: the new touch screen enabled TFT LCD displays with multi-touch detection and touch sensors that are unaffected by rain or liquid spillages. The displays are designed to only react to touches of finger, conductive stylus or gloved hand, which makes using them convenient and easy. Creating an excellent choice for smooth and reliable delivery of passenger information at stations and platforms, they are fully IP65 rated and available in various sizes up to 75” as portrait and landscape.
At our stand, you will also be able to experience the look and feel of our outstanding Mitron TFT 47-inch information pillar featuring an integrated HDTV video security camera. Designed for stations and platforms, the pillar offers superb video performance and wide dynamic range combined with excellent visibility. Providing a smart way to promote security and safety, it creates a top-notch platform for, e.g., advertising and guarantees reliability in operation. Its eye-level covert camera also enables capturing facial images at an ideal angle for forensic identification.
On-board and video security systems for safe and smooth travelling
At Trako 2017, we will also turn our focus on comprehensive on-board solutions, individual products and systems for the delivery of passenger information. Our solutions include, e.g., systems for on-board public address, intercommunication, CCTV and entertainment, as well as remote management applications for effortless and easy management and control of all on-board information. In addition, we can offer you solutions for wireless data transfer that guarantee seamless, high-capacity train-to-ground data transmission and reliable on-board Wi-Fi for the crew.
As a critical part of security issues within the rail industry are about securing people on trains, platforms and at the stations, we will also demonstrate our IP-based video management system, S-VMX. It allows rail operators to build a future-proof security hub to protect passengers and crew, operations, infrastucture and information systems. Connecting together video footage and data from various sources, the system makes it possible to monitor and manage situations in real time, thus enabling preventive measures and shortening reaction times to incidents.
