Brendan Ives appointed as President of TeliaSonera International Carrier

Brendan Ives has been appointed as new President of TeliaSonera International Carrier (TSIC). Originally from New Zealand, Brendan has been working in key roles at TSIC since 2001.

“Brendan Ives played an important role steering business development and sales efforts that enabled TSIC to establish itself as the world’s #2 IP backbone”, says Malin Frenning, Senior Vice President and Head of Business Area Broadband Services. “I am convinced that he will continue that journey improving both the customer experience and driving profitable growth which is his trademark.”

During his 13 years in TeliaSonera International Carrier Brendan has managed to acquire a broad know-how of the division heading Voice Trading, Sales & Marketing and more recently, Data & Infrastructure. Prior to working at TeliaSonera, Brendan held various product management positions within the retail operations of Telecom New Zealand.

Brendan takes over from Erik Hallberg who was recently promoted to Executive Vice President and Head of Eurasia in TeliaSonera. Brendan will start as President of TeliaSonera International Carrier with immediate effect.
