Moldcell acquires new licenses in Moldova

TeliaSonera’s subsidiary Moldcell in Moldova, has acquired new licenses and radio frequencies, valid for a 15-year term starting November 6, 2014.

Moldcell will continue using frequencies in the 900 MHz band and has purchased new frequencies in the 800 MHz and 1,800 MHz bands. Moldcell will abandon its earlier used frequencies in the 2,100 MHz and 2,600 MHz bands. The new frequencies are technology neutral. The value of the agreement is EUR 25.5 million.
