Ufford Park Woodbridge, Hotel, Golf & Spa has generously donated a brand new electronic scoreboard to Woodbridge Rugby Club to help with the club’s current drive to bring its facilities up to date.

The Club – home of the Warriors men’s and Amazons women’s teams – has recently raised over £220,000 to extend its club house and provide additional shower and changing facilities to accommodate over 300 youth players across 13 teams as well as the senior teams.

Tarnia Robertson, Marketing Director at Ufford Park, said “The Rugby Club gives hundreds of local kids (and adults) the chance to be active and learn vital skills such as team work, fitness and good communication. You forget that they achieve all this through a squadron of volunteers – they’re an inspiration and a really supportive part of the community. A prime example is how many players and supporters came to the first of our new comedy nights at the hotel. It’s a real pleasure to help such a great group of people.”

Rob Simpson, Chairman of Woodbridge Rugby Club, said, “The generosity and kindness of the team at Ufford Park is greatly appreciated. With increasing numbers coming to watch our home games, it’s definitely time we were able to communicate the score to supporting crowds. It’s almost as important as opening the bar!”
