Bick’s® Hosts a “Grill and Give” Event to Benefit Food Banks Canada

Bick’s “Grill and Give” provides a fun way to celebrate the start of the barbecue season and support Food Banks Canada

TORONTO, CANADA (May 18, 2011) – With summer just around the corner, the Bick’s brand is inviting Toronto residents to join them in a special celebration to kick-off the barbecue season and provide much-needed support for Food Banks Canada. 

This one-day “Grill and Give” event will be held on Thursday, May 19th, 2011 between 11am to 3pm at Dundas Square, Toronto.

Bick’s is hosting a delicious meal, drink and recipe booklet for barbecue fans in appreciation for a $5 donation to Food Banks Canada*.  Event proceeds will be bolstered by a $25,000 donation from Bick’s to support Food Banks Canada and their local food bank chapter, Daily Bread Food Bank.

In addition, local media personalities and familiar Canadian celebrities will be on hand to share their favourite burger and topping combinations in a “Build a Burger” challenge, hosted by Food Network Celebrity Chef Rob Rainford.  The media challenge is scheduled from 12-12:30, followed by a celebrity challenge from 1-1:30 p.m.
