A leading North East business welcomes Chinese delegates to the region

A leading North East training organisation has welcomed a delegation of businessmen from China to the region hoping to gain knowledge and understanding about the UK gas network.

Lomax Training, based at Howdon, Wallsend have a virtual office at the North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC), offices in Southwick and a training centre in Yorkshire. The delegates are here for 16 weeks to learn the companies procedures, strategies and polices. Jim Lomax, managing director, said:

“This is a very exciting time for our company. We are working in partnership with Russell Brown from Utilise Energy Limited, who already has an established presence in China and it has taken four years of hard work to make the visit happen after which Russell and I will then visit China to evaluate their experience here in the UK.

“I hope this is just the start of many high profile visits to the region.”

Louise Hardy, business mentor at the BIC added:

“The BIC have always maintained a high interest from international delegates and we regularly get visitors from overseas so it is wonderful to see our tenants gain outside interest also.

“It’s great to see Lomax Training accomplish so much I wish Jim and the company all the very best.”
