Easton, MD--The Tidewater Inn, an Eastern Shore icon for classic accommodations, “really good food” and exceptional events since 1947, announces its new indoor/outdoor wedding and events venue, the Gold Room Garden, and the Skipjack Bar, the newest addition to Hunters’ Tavern. The Tidewater Inn, a popular wedding destination, continues to grow with both new venues which are designed to enhance and expand the current event facilities.

The Tidewater Inn, located in the heart of Easton, MD is a premier full service hotel that has been undergoing a “renaissance” thanks to the attentions of its new ownership since 2009. Says Managing Owner Mr. John Wilson, “The casual charm of this property really lets guests experience the ‘Eastern Shore Way of Life’ and we are dedicated to incorporating that into weddings, meetings and social events here.” The Tidewater is the sister property of the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, another premier wedding venue site on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

The Gold Room Garden is a distinctive, elegant outdoor event space that compliments the formal Gold Ballroom, which underwent a complete renovation and re-opened in 2009. The Gold Room Garden features a solid brick-walled courtyard with a custom sail cloth canopy, exposed curved wood beams, two gas fireplaces, bistro style lighting, built in bar and is perfect for private, intimate celebrations.

The newly built Skipjack Bar located in the dining room of Hunters’ Tavern enables visitors to enjoy the view of downtown Easton while experiencing exceptional service, monthly wine features, and delicious food featuring fresh, seasonal, local produce and seafood. The Skipjack Bar is also available during the week as additional space for weddings and other social events. “The Gold Room Garden enables us to offer a variety of original spacial arrangements to our wedding and events customers to better tailor their occasion and give them exactly what they want out of the experience,” says Weddings and Events Manager Melanie Bennett.

This spring, enhancements to the décor of the guest rooms at the Inn are scheduled to be completed just in time for this year’s wedding season. In addition to the updated heating and air conditioning system, the enhanced décor features new custom bed linens, bathroom amenities and artwork by renowned Eastern Shore photographer David Harp.  Harp was commissioned to create large color prints that reflect the unique appeal of the Eastern Shore and add warmth and color to each of the guest rooms. Don Reedy, Hotel Manager states, “We plan to continue our campaign to make sure our guest rooms and all areas of the hotel shine!”

Wedding couples and those interested in holding events at the Tidewater Inn may view the new venues during the open house tours which are held every Saturday 10am – noon. No appointment is necessary. The Skipjack Bar is open for food and libations every weekend. For complete information on the Tidewater Inn visit www.tidewaterinn.com or call 800-237-8775.
