Stockholm, Sweden, September 09, 2015: Tilgin, a leading provider of solutions for multi-play and next-generation managed broadband services, releases a new version of its well-established Auto Configuration Server, tGem. The new version includes improvements on existing functionalities as well as two completely new features - deep monitoring and automation.

The deep monitoring feature is the result of the integration of TR-157 Appendix IV- Fault management with tGem’s Alarm module. This feature gives service providers the possibility to log and receive alarms for normal and abnormal events that occur within and in the network surroundings of the gateway. By enabling awareness of such events in the ACS, the operator can proactively resolve issues, and by this fact avoid costly support calls from subscribers. The powerful alarm module in tGem has a number of different tools to manage the alarms as they occur.

Service automation is very popular among service providers to dynamically deploy new services and to achieve complex troubleshooting operations. The new automation tool implemented in tGem is based on an intuitive graphical user interface that does not require any scripting competence for exploration of its full capabilities and functions. This allows service provider’s staff to automate the provisioning and support related tasks in an easy and flexible way. The design has been carefully thought through to deliver value to system administrators and helpdesk personnel alike.

Michael Gustavsson, VP Solution & Service Management at Tilgin says: “With these two new features, tGem once again prove itself to be the preferred choice of device management platform by the service providers, especially in the connected home environment with advanced networking features and services. At the same time, with these new features together with the current feature set, tGem increases its addressable market also into the enterprise and the retail device manufacturer’s support and management ecosystem.”

tGem 6.4 will be launched at Tilgin´s stand, C80, during the Broadband World Forum taking place at Excel London, 20– 22 October 2015
