Tilgin wins order for IP technology from TRE-FOR in Denmark

Stockholm, Sweden, February 16 2009: Tilgin, a leading provider of solutions for multiplay and next-generation broadband services, has won an second important order for IP-technology from TRE-FOR Bredbånd, a Danish fiber operator. Based on Tilgin’s solution, TRE-FOR will enhance its consumer offering with Triple Play services to fiber-connected households within the Profiber network (TRE-FOR, Østjysk Energi, Energi Horsens & NRGi) in Denmark.

This new win is based on the breakthrough order of approximately SEK 2 million, earlier announced in mid December 2009. The order value of this second order is approximately SEK 3 million. “TRE-FOR’s trust in Tilgin proves the stability and flexibility of our software and solutions and that we meet the most advanced market requirements,” says Mats Victorin, CEO of Tilgin. “This order and the order from Bredbånd Nord in October 2009, show that we have a strong offering to utility companies that offer broadband access including triple play via fiber.” TRE-FORs roll-out with Tilgin will impact the other three operators in the Profiber network as well, whose motto is "Fiber to all". This means that all enterprises and institutions and approx. 400,000 people living in the supply area are will be offered a fiber solution. “We chose Tilgin based on its solution’s performance and its future-proof portfolio of integrated software solutions and home gateways”, says Flemming Breum, CTO at TRE-FOR Bredbånd. “This deal is strategic for TRE-FOR Bredbånd and with this, the entire Profiber network is shifting architecture. Tilgin develops high performance solutions for next generation access networks. They support superior quality delivery of triple play including high-speed Internet, telephony and television services. The solutions have auto-provisioning using the standard TR-069 with rich possibilities for operators to remotely manage all home gateways and other connected home devices such as different IPTV Set-Top-Boxes and other home networking devices. Tilgin’s Full Service Routing solution is developed to further enhance IPTV services for broadband operators. It allows for HDTV with multiple video streams in parallel, as well as communication between different devices in the home and also with unique simple set-top box introduction.
