Building on the success of the inaugural event earlier this year, Andrew Page hosted its second AutoInsider Live! interactive tradeshow on Thursday 16th October, at Farnborough International Venue and Events (FIVE).

The series of regional aftermarket tradeshows continued in the South with the second event, following the success of the Harrogate show that covered 30 branches in the North East, North West, Central and Eastern regions in May. Featuring product presentations, technical seminars, a live demonstration area and supplier exhibits, the exciting one-day event was supported by the industry’s leading suppliers, including Mintex, LuK, TRW and Bosch, and showcased Andrew Page’s unique approach to the industry.

Designed for garage technicians and apprentices, the series of events helps them to stay up to date with the latest developments in everything from component parts to diagnostics and training, while also including fun activities such as an ultimate race experience simulator and a pit stop challenge.

The Farnborough event also provided the first opportunity to see the MotorWorld essentials over-the-counter concept that Andrew Page is developing in partnership with MotorWorld. As a way to sell high quality consumable products to motoring enthusiasts, Andrew Page will be rolling out a network of MotorWorld essentials shops at existing Andrew Page sites.

Throughout the day there were seminars conducted by industry experts, advising attendees on all aspects of the aftermarket. Speakers at Farnborough ranged from LuK, looking at double clutch technology, to WhoCanFixMyCar.com explaining how a garage can bring in £80k more work every year. Hofmann Megaplan and Kennet Equipment Leasing also gave key insights on the day, looking at modern tyre bay equipment and the benefits of leasing, respectively.

“Using the Harrogate event as our starting point, we were able to build on that success and make the Farnborough show even better,” explained Annalize Davy, Marketing Manager at Andrew Page. “It was great to see such a wide range of attendees from across the region, all of whom were engaging with the exhibitors and suppliers throughout the day.”

The next AutoInsider Live! tradeshow has been confirmed for Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire, taking place on Thursday 19th March 2015.
