WALKERS NEEDED FOR BIG CHALLENGE IN PETER HUNTLEY’S MEMORY
26 April 2013Charitable volunteers from the transport industry are being urged to swap their suits and ties, for walking boots and waterproofs, to take part in a Big Walk to a Small Pub on 6 July 2013. The event – organised by international development charity, Transaid – is being held in memory of Peter Huntley, the former Managing Director of Go North East and founder of specialist public transport consultants TAS Partnership. Mr Huntley was an avid fundraiser and had been training for a Transaid trek to the North Pole, when he died in the Lake District in February last year.
