The University of Hertfordshire’s Business School has been awarded the prestigious Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation giving it international credibility and status.

The Hertfordshire MBA is the Business School’s flagship programme and it has been delivering innovative management education for the last 25 years. It sets itself apart from other management programmes by keeping collaborative business integration at its core and working closely with leading businesses and MBA institutions around the world.

Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education and is earned only by the best programmes. MBA is widely recognised as the gold standard for postgraduate education and an MBA graduate will often have the edge over the competition in business-related fields.

Jerry Forrester, Dean of the Hertfordshire Business School at the University added:

"We are delighted with our AMBA Accreditation; a fitting accolade for what has become a truly distinctive MBA programme. Cutting edge theory, applied research, experiential practice and practitioner input combine to enrich the Hertfordshire MBA experience, resulting in enterprising and responsible graduates for whom the programme’s international recognition provides the greatest endorsement of their achievements."

Andrew Main Wilson, AMBA Chief Executive said:

“It takes a great deal for a Business School to stand out sufficiently in a competitive environment to merit the distinction of joining the exclusive group of 225 Business Schools in the world that are considered worthy of AMBA accreditation. We are very proud to welcome the University of Hertfordshire to our family.”

Mark Stoddard, AMBA Director of Operations has praised the University of Hertfordshire’s innovative approach:

“The University’s excellent International Collaborative Partnership Programme is a laudable development as it not only enhances the employability of MBA graduates, it also brings together corporations, students and faculty from around the world and provides an opportunity to work as part of a consultancy and learning community with a global focus. It is innovative and adaptive approaches such as these that we at AMBA wish to see from our schools as they develop their programmes to meet the ever-evolving demands of both students and employers.”

MBA graduates are highly valued by recruiters and are hired in a wide range of roles. The academically rigorous programme develops and enhances skills which are tailored to careers in the international business sector and include leadership, analytical and strategic thinking, negotiation, critical decision-making, teamwork and the ability to process complex financial information.

Graduates also become part of an international network of alumni from AMBA accredited schools which is highly beneficial in an increasingly global jobs market.
