Accounting Degree Review has ranked The University of Texas at Arlington’s residential bachelor’s degree in accounting as one of the most affordable in the nation.

UT Arlington ranked No. 25 out of 170 institutions accredited through the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the organization founded in 1916 to accredit schools of business.

Rachel Croson, dean of the UT Arlington College of Business, said the ranking is further recognition of the University’s ability to offer the highest quality accounting education at an affordable price.

“UT Arlington accounting graduates are in high demand. Our program’s quality has been widely recognized. This additional ranking further confirms our position as one of the best options for students to consider,” Croson said. “Our accounting students emerge well-prepared for business success, and we are pleased to see rankings agencies taking note.”

Of the College of Business 4,304 undergraduate students, 456 are declared accounting majors.

To compare the schools, Accounting Degree Review reviewed the schools’ annual tuition and fees for out-of-state incoming freshmen enrolling in the 2014-2015 academic year.

All the top schools in the ranking come under $18,500. The average cost is around $16,200. UT Arlington’s cost was $18,068. Brigham Young University placed first in the ranking.

UT Arlington’s Master of Science in Taxation program has ranked in the top 10 nationally for three consecutive years, according to TaxTalent.com.
