Goodspeed global Wi-Fi set to expand into Western Asia, starting with Israel

The growth in economics and tourism in Western Asia is increasing the demand for roaming services in the region. Goodspeed global Wi-Fi is set to expand its service into the region by first adding Israel to its coverage.

Uros announces it plans to start expanding the Goodspeed mobile internet service into Western Asia, with Israel the first country in this area to be included in the Goodspeed coverage. This latest addition to the mobile Wi-Fi service brings the total Goodspeed destination coverage to 61 countries around the world.

The Western Asia region is experiencing great economic growth and many countries in the region have become important hubs for international business. The area benefits from a high number of international visitors and migratory workers moving between countries. The World Tourism Organization UNWTO estimates the international tourist arrivals in 2014 to be up by 4% compared to the previous year, increasing the demand for roaming services in the region.

However, compared internationally, the roaming data in Western Asia has traditionally been expensive, even when roaming within the region. Goodspeed takes up the challenge and aims to enhance connectivity and work productivity abroad by offering an affordable and transparent solution for mobile connectivity needs.

In Israel Goodspeed mobile broadband users get 1GB of data a day for just £4.90 (or $7.99), which makes the service a cost effective option especially for business travellers depending on constant data connection.

The Goodspeed service is enabled by the Goodspeed hotspot, which can accommodate up to nine destination SIM cards, including the user’s own SIMs. The device and destination SIM cards can be purchased from goodspeed.io, prior to travelling. With Goodspeed, international travellers can create a private WLAN network and share the connection with up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices, and use data as if at home.

Goodspeed offers three service plans - Lite, Pro or Business. For more information on these plans and the Goodspeed personal mobile Wi-Fi hotspot please visit goodspeed.io.
