Utfors AB and Tele Danmark in major black fibre deal The agreement between Utfors AB and Tele Danmark means that Tele Danmark will be buying black fibre in Utfors's Sweden Ring between Oslo, Gothenburg, Malmö and Stockholm. This also includes double connections between Malmö and Copenhagen. The deal - which sees the integration of Utfors's and Tele Danmark's networks - will mean greater competition in the Nordic market and a solid platform for the start of Utfors's operator activities in Denmark and for future coordinated traffic with Tele Danmark. The agreement with Utfors signals the expansion of Tele Danmark's operations in Europe. Tele Danmark's Danish and German fibre networks connect over 10 major European cities. The combined northern European fibre network will become part of Tele Danmark's international infrastructure, which is scheduled for completion by the end of the year. "The agreement with Tele Danmark shows that even large, reputed telecoms operators view Utfors's modern infrastructure as a sound platform from which to reach a large number of cities in Sweden and Oslo. For us this is a first step in our working partnership with Tele Danmark," says Utfors AB's Managing Director, Jan Werne.
