Tremendous European response to Atlantis™ patient-specific abutments from Astra Tech

Mölndal, Sweden, March 2011 – Atlantis™ patient-specific abutments from Astra Tech continue to elicit fantastic response from customers all over Europe, bringing the successful abutments that fit all major implant systems to more and more customers and patients every day.

“The positive response in Europe has been overwhelming, and we are now expanding the Atlantis production facilities to meet the fast-growing demand. In addition, the global strategic alliances with companies such as 3Shape, 3M and Dental Wings for lab-based scanning will create added value for laboratories, for customers, and ultimately, for patients” says Peter Selley, President & CEO of Astra Tech AB.

The continuously expanding product assortment now includes two additional shades of zirconia abutments, for a total of four shades. Atlantis abutments are available for implant systems from manufacturers such as Astra Tech, Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Biomet 3i, Zimmer Dental, and Dentsply Friadent. CAMLOG and Keystone Dental will be the next implant manufacturers to be added (coming Spring 2011).

Atlantis™ patient-specific abutments
Atlantis is the best solution for cement-retained implant prosthetics. Utilizing the unique Atlantis VAD™ (Virtual Abutment Design) software, the patient-specific abutments are individually designed from the final tooth shape, resulting in an abutment with outstanding function and esthetics. Atlantis abutments are available in titanium, gold-shaded titanium and four shades of zirconia.
