Vicon teams up with Autodesk to showcase automotive visualization and virtual prototyping

Automotive Immersive Event gives design and engineering professionals a 3D virtual reality experience 

DETROIT, MI – February 19, 2014Vicon, the motion capture technology specialists for the entertainment, defence, life sciences and engineering industries, has teamed up with Autodesk to present the Automotive Immersive Event. Taking place on February 26 at the RAVE CAVE at DC3S in Sterling Heights, Michigan, the event will give automotive design and engineering professionals the opportunity to experience the latest 3D visualization and virtual prototyping technologies in an immersive 3D virtual reality environment.

Industry professionals are invited to drop in to the open house event to experience exterior and interior visualization in a CAVE Automated Virtual Environment. They will learn how the latest technology can help them to visualize ideas, evaluate designs, and move from physical to virtual prototypes in real time.

The event will feature Vicon motion capture systems, Autodesk’s VRED Professional software for high-end 3D visualization and virtual prototyping and NVIS virtual reality head-mounted displays.
