The gardens offer a stunning environment for wellness programs; this fall, Wave Hill kicks off the season with a free session of Community Tai Chi on September 12. Let the lush and vibrant autumn landscape inspire you during this meditative exercise, designed to help you relax, and feel healthy and strong. Throughout the season, cultivate resilience and serenity at weekend sessions of Tai Chi, Hatha Yoga and Meditation, each lead by certified instructors. 

As the days turn cooler, continue to nurture your body and mind as Wellness programs move indoors beginning in November. Then as the fall season comes to a close, give thanks with a free session of Black Friday Meditation, November 27. This relaxing exercise will set the stage for a worry-free holiday season!

In this beginner-level class, Irving Yee, a member of the William CC Chen Tai Chi School, introduces students to the internal martial arts and promotes an awareness of its health benefits.No session September 5 or November 28Free Community Tai Chi: Saturday, September 12, 10−11AMThis fall, come out and enjoy the benefits of Tai Chi, a gentle exercise that focuses on deep breath and movements based on images found in nature. In this beginner-level class, Irving Yee introduces students to the internal martial arts and promotes an awareness of its health benefits.Hatha Yoga: Sundays in September, October & November, 10–11:15AMDecrease stress and increase your energy by focusing on posture, breath and your mind/body/spirit. Classes are led by Yoga for Bliss Director Neem Dewji and other qualified instructors. Ms. Dewji is certified in Hatha and Therapeutic Yoga from The Yoga for Health Foundation, England, and the Integral Yoga Institute, NYC. No session September 6 or November 29Meditation: Sundays in September, October & November, 11:45AM–12:45PMLet nature inspire you to find your center and reconnect with your true self with guided mindfulness and other meditation practices. Each session includes instruction in simple techniques followed by guided meditations. Led by Yoga for Bliss director Neem Dewji and other qualified instructors. No session September 6 or November 29Black Friday Meditation: Friday, November 27, 11AM−12PMAvoid the malls this year and develop a worry-free outlook for the holiday season. Mindfulness meditation has been proven to relieve stress, help you focus and even make you happier. Led by a member of the Yoga for Bliss team. Free with admission. Registration:Registration is required for all sessions. Registration is not required for the Free Community Tai Chi session, but is recommended.Register online and, day of, onsite at the Perkins Visitor Center. Advance registration online receives a $2 discount. Support for Public Programs at Wave Hill is provided by The William Froelich Foundation.
