Waystream receives order from Italian city operator Stadtwerke Bruneck
Stadtwerke Bruneck, with a potential of 15 000 customer connections, has chosen Waystream’s MS4000 L2 Gigabit access switches to secure speed and reliability when expanding its Fiber To The Home-(FTTH) network. The order was placed via Waystream’s partner Optisis.
- It is incredibly rewarding to welcome Stadtwerke Bruneck as our first customer in Italy. We are noticing an increasing demand for innovative FTTH-solutions in Europe, and this deal clearly shows that our products are competitive. Stadtwerke Bruneck has great ambitions to provide high quality fibre to its customers. We are of course proud to be a part of this, says Mats Öberg, CEO Waystream.
Stadtwerke Bruneck currently has more then 6 000 customer connections in the Brunico region and is planning to have 7 000 by the end of 2018. The city operator connects both business and residential users.
- We are very happy with choosing the MS4000 from Waystream when expanding our fibre network. We have high ambitions, and need to make strategic choices when choosing partners to secure a top-class infrastructure, says Florian Niederbacher, Head of IT and Telecommunication at Stadtwerke Bruneck.
Optisis, the solution provider which managed the deal, provides its customers with simple and effective solutions using innovative technology.
- Stadtwerke Bruneck is an important customer and we are satisfied that the company has chosen Waystream MS4000 switches as part of our FTTx solution. With our expertise, along with access to the market’s best products, we can meet Stadtwerke Brunecks tough technical requirements, says Robert Bauman, Sales Director at Optisis.
