THE POWER OR REINFORCEMENT TRAINING

Ravenheat has seen an unprecedented rise in the number of installers who are re-attending its intensive one-day gas boiler training courses, together with an increase in demand for its advanced courses that serve to provide further expert knowledge with limited hands-on training.

Ravenheat’s Technical Service Manager, John Wilson, explains: “Over the last 12 months we have seen many installers re-attending our training courses. They recognise that in the ever-changing world of boiler legislation and technology, it pays to take the time to develop their expertise and refresh their skills base in order to deliver the optimum heating solution.

“The power of reinforcement training is one of Ravenheat’s key points of difference from other manufacturers’ courses. We understand that increased knowledge and understanding doesn’t come from a ‘quick-fix’ seminar. Instead, it requires focused training and programmes to create improved installation and fault-finding performance in generic terms on all boilers. We also understand that time is money, and that’s why our one day courses are available free of charge and with no pressure to purchase products,” adds John.

Ravenheat’s one day training courses are designed to cover the company’s extensive range of combination and the generics of high efficiency condensing boilers. They are aimed solely at Gas Safe Registered installers, commissioning engineers and operatives who are involved with servicing and fault finding.

Based on both classroom theory and practical experience, the courses cover the generics of a gas boiler (component procurement), the sequence of operation (diagnostics), standards and combustion. Courses can also be tailored to suit the specific needs of larger heating companies.

Ravenheat’s attitude to training is to make it convenient, flexible, and most of all effective. All courses cater for around a maximum of 20 people and are professionally delivered in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and involve some practical 'hands-on' tuition.

John concludes: “We work on the premise that if an installer understands how a boiler operates through its function, then he will be more inclined to install it in the first place. On that basis, we are happy to welcome individuals to our courses as many times as they see fit. Ultimately, it’s all about adding value to the installers’ business and providing an optimum hot water and heating solution for the homeowner.

All training takes place at the company’s state-of-the-art facility at its HQ near Leeds and is delivered by in-house experts who offer unrivalled industry experience and in-depth product knowledge.
