Wihlborgs appoints new regional director in Malmö

Wihlborgs has appointed Mikael Strand as regional director in Malmö. Mikael will join the company on 17 March.

Mikael Strand has worked for Midroc since 2012, where he was Business Area Manager for property development in southern Sweden. Previously, he worked for Fojab and Vasakronan.

Wihlborgs’ current Regional Director, Lennart Jönsson, will now work in a role focusing on new growth opportunities, major leasing processes and new-build projects.

The role as regional director in Malmö includes responsibility for a property portfolio of 700,000 m², valued at SEK 16 billion, as well as an organisation with some 30 employees.

“Mikael’s extensive experience of the property market in Skåne will be a significant asset for Wihlborgs. He will contribute with vigour and energy to the company and play a key role in our further development,” says Anders Jarl, CEO of Wihlborgs Fastigheter.

“Malmö is, and will remain, our largest and most important market. This reinforcement will mean that we can improve even further at taking care of our existing and future customers,” continues Anders Jarl.
