Wihlborgs signs lease with Veidekke and VTI in Lund
Wihlborgs has signed a lease with Veidekke and the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) for premises in the Posthornet new-build project in central Lund.
Veidekke, one of the largest construction companies in Scandinavia with strong future growth, will move in to premises of 1,200 m².
“Our robust growth and the relocation of our civil engineering operations from Landskrona to Lund mean that we need new premises. It is particularly pleasing to sign a lease with Wihlborgs since we have a very good track record with the company. The office will be located adjacent to Lund Central Station. It will allow more people to take public transport to our office, which we view as a major advantage,” says Ulf Sterner, Regional Manager at Veidekke Bygg.
VTI will lease 500 m² on the sixth floor, primarily on behalf of K2, Sweden’s national centre for research and education on public transport.
“The central location of the property was pivotal in choosing a new lease for our premises in Lund. Close proximity to, for example, the Central Station and several of our partners will improve our accessibility for both employees and visitors to K2,” says Tomas Svensson, Director-General of VTI.
Posthornet’s other tenants will include Folktandvården Skåne (4,800 m²), Avensia (1,800 m²) and Trivector (850 m²). The remaining leases are for two office premises of 600 and 560 m² on the top floors.
Posthornet is being constructed in central Lund next to the Kristallen municipal building. The property will have a clear environmental profile with a roof-top solar cell facility and environmental certification to SGBC Gold. Occupancy is scheduled for the spring of 2018.
