Dr Nick Bunn to lead WYG’s Yorkshire & North East transport team

Multi-disciplinary consultancy, WYG, is pleased to announce that Regional Director, Dr Nick Bunn, is to lead the Leeds and Newcastle transport teams, providing an integrated transport service across the Yorkshire and North East regions.

Nick has more than 25 years’ experience in traffic and transport consultancy, his main areas of expertise being masterplanning, assessing the impact of new developments on travel patterns, road safety, sustainable transport and traffic management studies, in addition to car park assessment and design. Nick is also often called upon to provide expert evidence at public inquiries.

Supporting this announcement, Nick said: “I am really pleased to be back in Yorkshire, where I grew up, and am looking forward to working more closely with both the Leeds and Newcastle teams. We have some great projects already underway, and many more in the pipeline, which will have a positive impact on the region, including a number of major housing schemes and large industrial developments, in addition to a major multimodal freight facility.”

Nick holds a BSc in Biomolecular Science, a PhD in Biochemistry and an MSc in Civil Engineering (Highways & Transport); he is a Member of the Institution of Highways & Transportation and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transportation.

Originally from Otley, Nick is based in Newcastle but currently lives in Cumbria and is therefore well accustomed to working across different regions.
