Transport specialist appointed
WYG is pleased to announce the appointment of Norman Johnston as technical director specialising in intelligent transport systems (ITS) for WYG’s transport division.
Norman’s primary focus will be on business development within UK and international markets in the transport sector. Additionally his 25 years’ experience in delivering transportation and ITS projects globally strengthens WYG’s existing ITS team.
Until April 2012, Norman was sales director at Halcrow Group, where he was responsible for winning work on transportation infrastructure projects and developing the European business strategy and sales targets across the highway and rail business.
Stuart Maxwell, Technical Director, WYG said: “I am delighted to welcome Norman to the team adding his wealth of experience to the skills and resources already available to design and deliver effective ITS projects in the UK and abroad.
“Norman will be instrumental in winning work and his international track record and market knowledge will be a huge asset to us and our clients as we seek to grow our transport division.”
