WYG sponsors British Expertise House of Lords Event

Graham Olver, Chief Operating Officer for international multi-disciplinary consultancy, WYG, attended the British Expertise (BE) Networking Event at the House of Lords on 13 June, the first event during his tenure as Chair of BE.

The annual reception brought together over 200 businesses and friends to share knowledge in one of the most prestigious networking locations in London and was hosted by The Rt Hon The Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean, together with the British Expertise Board of Directors and President, HRH The Duke of Gloucester.

BE is the most prominent private sector association of British professional services companies whose common aim is to develop international opportunities for UK business.

WYG, like many of its peers in BE,  is already collaborating on international opportunities through its involvement in a number of landmark projects across the globe including the Western Balkans Investment Framework Infrastructure Projects Facility and Climate Resilient Infrastructure Development Facility in Southern Africa (CRIDF), and is one of the first international businesses to re-establish a permanent presence in Libya.

Following the event, Graham said: “WYG is a proud sponsor of the British Expertise House of Lords Networking Event, which is a highlight in the professional services calendar.  The event attracts leaders in business as well as quality speakers such as Rt Hon The Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean and Rt Hon Alan Duncan MP, Minister of State for International Development.  For WYG we get to meet new people, re-kindle past partnerships and focus on new opportunities to work together and show what we can deliver worldwide.”

Among the items on BE’s agenda for the year will be strengthening relationships with UK and overseas ministerial influencers and decision-makers to support members’ growth aspirations, and widening capability within the membership base by attracting new members.
