Customized workflow and trip-management modules – FLX and TRP – arrive for XRS mobile platform

MINNEAPOLIS (Apr. 25, 2013)— On the heels of debuting its complete mobile platform for fleet optimization, XRS Corporation (formerly Xata Corporation; NASDAQ: XRSC) is launching new application features designed to boost productivity and compliance among fleet carriers.

This week, the company will unveil two new performance modules for its XRS mobile application – FLX (pronounced "flex”) and TRP (pronounced "trip") – within its industry-first mobile fleet management platform. XRS will showcase the new technology at the National Private Truck Council (NPTC) annual conference in Cincinnati, April 28-30. Demonstrations of the XRS platform will be available during the NPTC conference in the XRS booth #404.

“Even before we debuted our new XRS platform, we had been looking for ways to leverage the power of mobile technology for the benefit of a wide variety of carriers, many of which require a high degree of flexibility,” said Christian Schenk, senior vice president of product and market strategy for XRS Corporation. “With our new FLX and TRP modules, fleet managers can make XRS work even harder for them, saving time and money with customized, scalable route and workflow management applications.”

The FLX module will allow fleets to build their own driver workflow and mobile data attributes, simplifying data collection, load assignments, route planning, POD forms, OS&D validation and any other functions the carrier needs monitored or tracked. FLX also includes signature and image capture capabilities for fast mobile data collection, authorization, proof-of-delivery and acceptance of terms.

The TRP module will help fleets manage trips with a single, comprehensive application, with “planned vs. actual” reporting that allows fleets to view deviation from a planned route and accurately project up-to-the-minute ETAs as drivers progress through a trip. TRP also features real time ETA and route deviation monitoring for both fleet managers and drivers, enabling real-time vehicle activity to be tracked automatically against planned routes. TRP will integrate with many industry-leading route systems, such as Roadnet, Ortec and Appian.

The new XRS mobile platform, which entered general release in March 2013, runs on more than 50 types of devices and automatically transmits vehicle and operator data directly to a management dashboard, preparing for compliance with the pending MAP-21 compliance mandate for recording hours-of-service. Nearly 90 percent of drivers already use mobile devices, meaning there are no additional hardware costs associated with the XRS platform, and XRS Corporation has partnership agreements with the leading brands in mobile communications in both the U.S. and Canada.

The FLX module is now available to current XRS customers, while the TRP module will be available in 2014. Existing Turnpike customers will begin the transition to the new XRS mobile solution on a scheduled basis, facilitated by XRS customer care representatives and aided by its customers’ familiarity with mobile technology.

Monthly pricing for the XRS mobile fleet optimization platform is $39 per subscription. To sign up or learn more about the XRS platform and FLX functionality, please visit http://engage.xrscorp.com/flx.
