Future Rural Funding Debate

Report this content

Steve Willis, the Chairman of the Yorkshire Food, Farming and Rural Network, is on a mission to ensure that Yorkshire rural and farming communities make their opinions known on future rural development funding. All are welcome to discuss, with Defra, the priorities and objectives of the next rural development programme.

The event, taking place on Monday 20 May, from 15:30-19:30, at Holiday Inn, Scotch Corner, Darlington is one of a series being held across England where Defra and the Rural and Farming Networks will lead discussions to consider the foundations of the next rural development programme, including the overall vision, priorities and objectives.

There will be plenty of opportunities for attendees to express their views and ask questions. Mr Willis said: “It is imperative that this rural development funding is spent wisely, as such it is vital that Defra hears the views of those living and working in farming and rural communities”.

To register for a place, or simply to find out more, please contact Sue Naylor (snaylor@teesvalleyrcc.org.uk or 01642 213852).
