3 teams up with Musicbrigade and launches 7 new music video channels
Musicbrigade has been contracted to manage all of 3's music video services for Sweden and Denmark. 3 and Musicbrigade will launch seven genre based, streamed music video channels in connection to this deal.
Mobile/3G operator 3 in Sweden and Denmark, owned by Hutcinson Whampoa and Investor, have selected Swedish Musicbrigade to manage all of their music video services. Musicbrigade, who has been 3's main music video supplier since 2004, will source and aggregate the content from rights holders and manage the editorial displays, updates and behind the scenes running of the shop that is presented to 3's users. Together with record companies Musicbrigade and 3 have created successes with ground and record breaking download sales of hit videos with Infernal, Snook and Eric Prydz with his gold awarded hit "Call On Me" with more than 17,000 downloads in Sweden alone. Seven music video channels will be launched today in the OnAir service. These music video channels are streamed to 3 subscribers on a continuous 24 hour broadcast basis and offers 3's users the choice of pop, rock, urban, classics, easy, roots and world. This is the widest choice of music video broadcasting available on any platform to consumers in Sweden and Denmark today.
