Bracknell, UK, 30 August 2012 - Diversified technology company 3M has announced that its bigger and better 2012 Wrap and Win campaign is now open, with monthly draws and a top prize of an all-expenses paid trip to the NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Racing) Sprint Cup Series Race in Las Vegas, March 2013. Customers are eligible to enter when purchasing a qualifying roll of vinyl film from 3M trade suppliers William Smith and Spandex. They can choose from a wide range of 3M Graphic Films to suit their specific interior or exterior applications, ranging from vehicle branding and wrapping (including colour changing films), fleet advertising and sign making.

“Following the success of our Wrap and Win campaign in 2011, we decided to extend this year’s competition to give customers and our distributor partners more chances to win,” said Richard Davies, Trade Marketing Manager, 3M’s Commercial Graphics Division. “We wanted to show our commitment to the vehicle wrapping and sign making communities by adding more products and smaller quantities to the qualifying portfolio, providing a diverse selection of high quality graphics to suit most applications.”

Purchasers of 3M Graphic Film will receive a unique code by email, or on the product packaging, and can enter the competition by visiting www.facebook.com/3Mgraphicsuk, then clicking on the Wrap and Win tab. The monthly prizes will be drawn until 31 January 2013 and consist of a £100 voucher for each winner, accepted at more than 40,000 outlets nationwide. Monthly winners will be notified by email following the draw, with prizes delivered by 3M account managers. Customers entering the monthly draw will automatically be entered for the ultimate, once-in-a-lifetime trip for two to a NASCAR race in Las Vegas, with money-can’t-buy behind-the-scenes access and exclusive track-side tickets. The lucky winner of the NASCAR Las Vegas trip will be drawn by an independent judge at the end of the promotional period, closing 31 January 2013.

The top prize consists of two return flights from London to Las Vegas, four nights’ accommodation for two, car hire, two grandstand tickets plus track-side passes to the Vegas Kobalt 400 in March 2013 and $400 spending money. The winners will also get to chance to meet the 3M-sponsored Roush Fenway motorsports racing team and 3M driver of the number 16 Ford Fusion car, Greg Biffle. The Kobalt Tools 400 is a 400.5 mile, 267 lap NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race held annually at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Nevada, USA.

3M's involvement with NASCAR extends further than just sponsorship. 3M products are used throughout NASCAR from brake cleaner to vehicle wraps. The majority of NASCAR Sprint Cup cars are wrapped with Controltac Graphic Series 180 Cv3-10 from 3M, due to its reliable performance, speed of application and expert finish.

New to the qualifying portfolio of products this year is the Scotchlite Reflective Graphic Film IJ680 from 3M, a highly durable, flexible material that increases night-time visibility and features 3M innovative pressure activated Controltac positionable adhesive for easy application. A popular product in the portfolio is the Controltac Graphic Film IJ380 from 3M, a durable, cast printable repositionable film, ideal for the most challenging wraps. The innovative 3D conformability feature makes it possible to stretch the film with very limited heat, for deep recesses. Another favourite is the Controltac Graphic Film IJ180 Cv3 -10 from 3M, a short- to long-term removable film for fleet and vehicle graphics as well as interior and exterior signs, including applications from moderate to deep compound curved, corrugated and riveted surfaces.

All the above vinyl films are fully latex compatible and are recommended for use with the HP Latex Printer Series. Films printed using latex printers have no odour and no drying time, plus they are highly conformable, making them easy to handle and quicker to wrap.
