3Shape orthodontics now integrated with Henry Schein orthodontics
Copenhagen, February 24, 2017 – 3Shape announces today that its Indirect Bonding orthodontic application is now digitally integrated with Henry Schein® Orthodontics’ bracket systems, enabling orthodontists and laboratories to virtually plan patient treatment, digitally place brackets, directly print transfer trays and eliminate the need for an analogue model and vacuum press.
The bracket systems available from Henry Schein Orthodontics &nadsh; the orthodontics business of Henry Schein, Inc. – include Carriere® SLX™ Self-Ligating Brackets, Maestro® Mini-Twin Brackets and Neolucent® Plus™ Ceramic Bracket Systems, which can be accessed directly from within 3Shape’s orthodontic software.
Using 3Shape Indirect Bonding software, treatment planning and bracket placement of virtual libraries are made with a digital study model of the patient. Study models are created using a TRIOS intraoral scan, conventional impression scanner and/or a 3Shape dental lab scanner. After treatment planning, the bracket systems are placed in the patient using transfer trays, also designed with the 3Shape Indirect Bonding software and printed with a 3D printer.
"3Shape’s Indirect Bonding application reduces patient treatment time and enables me to be more efficient in my practice. Adding the SLX Bracket System from Henry Schein Orthodontics now enables me to work digitally with one of the most innovative bracket brands on the market," says Dr. David Paquette, Paquette Orthodontics, Charlotte, NC.
"We are very excited to add Henry Schein Orthodontics to the growing list of bracket libraries and orthodontic solution providers now integrated with our 3Shape orthodontic solutions. The integration gives professionals using Henry Schein Orthodontics the advantage of a fully digital workflow to reduce chair time and increase treatment efficiency and patient comfort," says Allan Junge Hyldal, Vice President 3Shape Orthodontics.
More than 150 original bracket libraries and orthodontic solution providers are integrated with 3Shape orthodontic software.
About 3Shape Indirect Bonding
