Voting for the 2015 Porsche 911uk Awards now open
The voting stage of the long-standing UK Porsche Awards, recognising excellence in the UK Porsche sector, is now live
The UK’s biggest and most definitive Porsche community and resource website, 911uk.com, has announced that voting for the 2015 Porsche Awards is now open. Firmly established in its eighth year, 911uk’s annual awards recognise excellence from organisations, teams and drivers across a variety of fields in the UK Porsche industry, as decided by the public and a panel of expert judges.
“911uk’s annual Porsche Awards are a fantastic opportunity for organisations and people within the UK’s thriving Porsche industry, big or small, to be commended for their efforts,” says 911uk.com owner and founder Sundeep Nischal. “Owning a Porsche isn’t just about the driving, it’s about being part of a Porsche community that prides itself on excellence and quality.
“The awards are an important initiative that helps honour and say thank you to those delivering above and beyond already high levels of care and service.”
Last year almost 4,000 votes were registered from across the Porsche world to recognise preferred Porsche-specific services. The deadline for submissions this time round is the 11thDecember, with the results due to be announced in the week of 14thDecember. As an added incentive voters will have the chance to win a £50 Amazon voucher in October and November.
The seven categories open to public voting are as follows:
1. Official Porsche Car Sales & Service Centre (OPC)
2. Independent Porsche Car Sales Garage
3. Independent Porsche Car Service Garage
4. Independent Porsche Parts Supplier & Performance Tuner
5. Porsche Motorsport
6. Porsche Magazine & Media
7. Porsche Customer Service
The voting form is available at the award-scheme’s website, http://www.porscheawards.co.uk, to decide the winners in these seven main categories.
“We have been fortunate to receive a number of 911uk’s prestigious awards,” explains Autofarm’s Mikey Wastie. “Being recognised by an enthusiastic and passionate community is extremely valuable and provides confidence to visitors in the service we provide.”
In 2014, to allow enthusiasts to show their appreciation in all areas of the Porsche community, 911uk created a further series of judged awards. Following their success, these will return in 2015. With a judging panel that last year included Simon Jackson, editor of GT Porsche, Lee Sibley, Total 911’s editor and Thomas Lubbock, the owner of DDK Online, the 2015 judged categories are:
1. Social Media & Marketing
2. Motorsport Breakthrough – in association with the Sean Edwards Foundation*
3. Recommended Sales
4. Recommended Service
5. Classic & Restoration Specialist
Nominations for entries to these categories should be sent via email to info@porscheawards.co.uk, detailing why they should be considered.
Updates on the awards in the run up to the announcement, past winners and a gallery of the awards are available at www.porscheawards.co.uk
* The Sean Edwards Foundation is working to improve Motor Racing Safety by lobbying for, implementing and promoting a number of essential driver and track safety initiatives.
