Antigen-tests and masks are no longer required, while 2G remains for the time being

Rostock, 16 May 2022 – A-ROSA River Cruises has further relaxed its health and hygiene protocols across its fleet as the number of COVID-19 cases continues to decrease, and more countries lift their protective measures and legal regulations.

The A-ROSA Care Team, comprising of internal and external specialist, has carefully evaluated the current situation and been able to remove more of the measures in place. As a result, passengers will no longer be required to wear a mask on board, rapid anti-gen testing at the beginning of the cruise will no longer be carried out (except on the Douro) and the completion of a health questionnaire will no longer be required. Measures such as extended cleaning and disinfection protocols on board remain in place to ensure hygiene standards are upheld.

As some of the countries A-ROSA’s ships sail through still require different documentation for entry, all passengers over the age of 12 will continue to need proof of full vaccination (no less than 9 months after second dose or proof of a booster jab) or proof of recovery (from 29 days to 6 months after positive PCR test). Children under the age of 12 no longer require any documentation.

Since the start of the season in March 2022 A-ROSA’s ships have been sailing on the Rhine, Danube, Rhone, Seine and Douro and offering their buffet meals once again. The SPA-ROSA with its sauna, gym and treatment rooms, plus pools/whirlpools have also been fully operational with no restrictions. The further relaxation in these measures means A-ROSA can finally return to offering its guests as much flexibility and normality as is possible.

As always, the wellbeing and health of all guests and crew members remains a top priority and the Care Team will continue to monitor the situation and if necessary, will adjust the protocols accordingly as regulations are amended or expire.
