A-ROSA River Cruises donates food
Rostock, 4 November 2020 – To comply with a recent government decree, pausing all organised leisure travel within Germany for one month, A-ROSA suspended its sailings until the end of November. “We fully support the government’s measures aimed at reducing infection rates,“ advises Jörg Eichler, CEO A-ROSA River Cruises.
The sudden suspension of A-ROSA’s operation meant that there were huge supplies of fresh food on board of the ships, which the cruise line was determined should not go to waste. “We contacted the Kölner Tafel, a well-known charity in our Rhine fleet’s home port city of Cologne. It didn’t take long before a team of volunteers organised the collection and distribution of the items“, explains Birgit Eisbrenner, Regional Director
