Advanced Arm Dynamics announces an Open House on Thursday, May 12th, from 4 to 7 PM at their new center, 11671 Fountains Drive, Suite 220, Maple Grove, MN, 55369.   They are the nation's leading provider of comprehensive upper extremity prosthetic rehabilitation with Centers of Excellence located across the nation.  Advanced Arm Dynamics is the sole provider of comprehensive upper extremity prosthetic care at Walter Reed Army Medical Center for wounded soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Open House will include interactive demonstrations of the latest upper limb prosthetic technologies. In addition, Army Staff Sergeant Ramon Padilla (RET.) is demonstrating his high tech sports arms and myoelectric arms on Wednesday, May 11th, at 4 PM at the center.  His audience will be the Little Fins, a support group for child amputees and their families who live in the Minneapolis area. He will be available for interviews; photos and HD video of Sgt. Padilla are available.

“I hope to give these kids some real encouragement about overcoming their challenges and never giving up,” said Padilla.  “It is entirely possible to have a full active life as a prosthetic user---I am living proof.”

In 2007, Padilla suffered a traumatic brain injury and lost his left arm when he was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade in Afghanistan. He received care at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where a team from Advanced Arm Dynamics has provided upper extremity prosthetic care to wounded soldiers since 2003.  He has been the recipient of unique sports prostheses that enable him to use his left arm to swing a golf club and a baseball bat. Padilla has an advanced myoelectric prosthesis for use in his daily life.
