AAK has sold the company’s office building in M.P. Bruuns Gade, Aarhus, Denmark. The building was previously the headquarters of “Aarhus Olie A/S”, later “Aarhus United A/S”.

The purchaser is the Danish hotel chain Arp-Hansen Hotel Group which is planning, with its Wake Up concept, hotel rooms in the building. Arp-Hansen Hotel Group already has twelve hotels in Copenhagen and the establishment in Aarhus will be the first outside the Danish capital.

“We are very pleased to have finalized the sales process since we are no longer in need of the office space”, says Fredrik Nilsson, CFO, AAK Group. “The sale releases some capital tied up and will additionally generate a positive cash flow effect.”

The transaction will be completed during the second quarter and a minor net non-recurring income will be reported.
