Professor Annika Stensson Trigell awarded Volvo scholarship

The Håkan Frisinger Foundation for Transportation Research has decided to award its scholarship for 2011 to Professor Annika Stensson Trigell of the Royal Institute of Technology. The scholarship, which amounts to SEK 250,000, will be presented to Annika Stensson Trigell for her scientific excellence in automotive dynamics, initiating and heading the transport platform at the Royal Institute of Technology and coordinating the Green Vehicle’s National University program in collaboration with the Swedish automotive industry.

Nominations for the recipient of the Frisinger Scholarship are made by Chalmers University of Technology in accordance with an agreement between Chalmers and Volvo’s Research and Educational Foundation (VREF). The decision about the scholarship was made by the Board of VREF.

The award will be presented by the Håkan Frisinger Foundation at a seminar to be held on March 15, at Chalmers Hus.

Håkan Frisinger was the CEO of Volvo in 1983–1987 and Chairman of the Board in 1997-1999.
